Whole Wheat Pancakes

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

1 T brown sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 T veg.oil
1 egg

Mix flour, soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk.

In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, buttermilk, egg and oil

Add wet ingredietns to dry and mix gently.     Small lumps are fine, do not overmix.

Let batter sit for 5-10 minutes

Meanwhile, heat a skillet over med-high heat.

Put oil or butter in pan

Drop 1/2 cu portions and cookuntil you see bubbles....flip.
