Chocolate Pie

¾ c. Sugar                                                       
3 T. flour (heap)
2 T. Cocoa                                                         
¼ tsp. Salt
3 egg yolks (reserve egg whites for meringue)                        
½ c. cream
1 ½ cup milk

·        Cook until thick. (It will look lumpy)
·        Remove from heat and add 1 T. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla.
·        Stir until smooth.
·        Pour into baked pie shell.
Meringue:
·        Beat egg whites
·        Beat in 4 T. Sugar (one tablespoon at a time)
·        Beat in 1 tsp. vanilla
·        Pour onto cooled pie
Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes or until meringue has browned
