Mamaw K. would be honored that I was passing this along, as everyone she knew asked her to bring these to special occasions! :o)
2 pkg. yeast
1 T. salt
2 C. lukewarm water
5 T. sugar
2/3 C. Crisco
5-6 C. Flour
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add all other ingredients, except flour. Add flour a little at a time until mixture is not too stiff. Chill dough overnight in fridge. Remove from fridge about 2-3 hours before baking time. Knead lightly and roll out dough. Cut with a biscuit cutter and fold over. Grease baking pan. Bake in 425 degree oven until browned, about 10-12 minutes.
This is Mamaw's handwritten instructions so I hope they are clear enough to understand...if they turn out, let me know...I may need to try them myself...LOL! Good luck :o)
