Garlic Potatoes

Boil 3 pounds of baking potatoes, peeled and quartered for about 20 minutes (add 1 tsp of salt to water)

Drain. 

Coarsely mash potatoes with 1/3 cup softened butter; ½ cup milk, 2 pressed garlic cloves, and ½ tsp of salt and pepper.

Transfer potatoes to serving bowl and sprinkle with ½ cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
