Lasagna (Amy D.)

Brown 1 ½ pounds meat with 1 onion….drain

Add:
 3 tsp garlic powder                                  
1 tsp sugar
4 – 8oz cans tomato sauce            
2 tsp salt
½ cup water                                                       
1 tsp basil
½ tsp pepper                                            
1 tsp oregano
1 small jar of spaghetti sauce                  
1 bay leaf (remove)
Simmer for at least 1 hour (The longer the better)


Boil 9 lasagna noodles

Alternate layering noodles, meat, & cheeses.   Make sure the last layer is meat on top

Cheese:   8 oz. of mozzarella
               8 oz. of Colby/Monterey jack
               8 oz. cottager or ricotta cheese


Bake fro 45 minutes.   Sprinkle with Parmesean Cheese and let stand for 15 minutes.
