Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups mashed sweet potatoes                              ½ cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten                                                       ½ tsp. salt
½ stick butter, melted                                            ½ cup milk
1 ½ tsp. vanilla                                                      ½ cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour (plain or self-rising)                            1 cup chopped nuts
1/3 stick butter, melted

  • Combine potatoes, sugar, eggs, salt, ½ stick of butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir well.
  • Spoon into a greased 1 ½ quart baking dish.
  • Combine the brown sugar, flour, nuts and 1/3 stick of butter.
  • Spread over top of potatoes
  • Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
