Chicken and Dumplings (Martha)

Chicken Thighs
2 or 3 Chicken Breast
Stick of Butter
Heinz Chicken Gravy or Cream of Chicken Soup

  • Cook thighs with skin and a couple of chicken breast tenderloins in large pot.
  • Do not use a lot of water.
  • When done, remove chicken and let cool, then shred.
  • Add to broth. . .
    • Stick of butter
    • Can of Heinz Chicken Gravy or Cream of Chicken Soup
    • BRING TO A SLOW BOIL
Dumplings
½ cup flour
1 cup of milk

  • Mix flour and milk, dough will be sticky
  • Drop by teaspoon  into broth
  • Cover with lid
  • Reduce to simmer
  • Cook about 15 minutes – do not overcook!
  • DO NOT REMOVE LID
  • When done add the chicken back into broth, gently stir.
