1 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 ½ Cup Raw Peanuts
¼ tsp. Salt
1 Tablespoon Margarine
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Tsp. soda
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, peanuts and salt in a deep 3 quart casserole.
- Mix well
- Microwave at HIGH for 7 ½ - 9 ½ minutes or until light brown.
- Add butter and vanilla, mix well.
- Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute or until mixture reaches hard crack stage (300)
- Stir in soda; pour onto a buttered cookie sheet, spreading thinly.
- Let cool and break into pieces. Yields about a pound.
