3 ½ cup Flour 1 ½ Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Baking Powder 2 Well Beaten Eggs
½ tsp. Salt 1 ½ tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Shortening
- Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Work in flour with baking powder and salt sifted in.
- Wrap I foil and chill until firm.
- Roll a small amount at a time until about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut out with cutters.
Bake at 400 for 5-8 minutes. - Cool before removing.
- Yields 6 dozen
- Ice with confectioners sugar, a few drops of vanilla flavoring and milk mixed to spreading consistency – tint with food coloring.
